Flight Shuttle Service Driver (CDL required)

Temple University's Department of Public Safety is searching for a Flight Shuttle Service Driver.

Hourly Rate: $25.37
Work shift: Sunday - Thursday; 5:30PM to 2:30AM

Position Summary
Reporting to the Transportation Area Manager, the Flight Driver provides University students and faculty with transportation services. The Operations and Logistics Unit oversee the service area assigned to drivers. Once given a transportation route, drivers are responsible for arriving at their assigned destinations on time. Those destinations include Ambler and the surrounding campuses. In addition, drivers must consistently provide timely, safe, professional, and courteous services. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Details
* This position does require a pre-employment Department of Motor Vehicles background check.
* Offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Required Education and Experience
* Must have a minimum of three (3) commercial driving experience.
* Must have a valid commercial (CDL) US driver’s license along with a “P” endorsement for commercial bus driving and class (B) with air brake and passenger endorsements.
* Must have the ability to drive manual stick shift vehicles and 50-passenger buses.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Must have adequate reading and writing skills.
* Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to pass a driving test administered by the department.
* Must be able to pass a lifting test administered by the department.
* Must have the ability to carry out snow removal; with mandatory overtime work during snow removal and other emergency circumstances is required.
